Community Impact

This tour highlights Philadelphia’s unique public art scene and how it has brought communities together and inspired positive change throughout the city.

Our tour supports a local art organization through a per-guest donation, such as the Davinci Art Alliance, which offers free gallery space and financial support to local artists.

Through a per-guest admission, our tour supports the Magic Gardens, which preserves the work of local artistic legend Isaiah Zagar and has been a leader in advancing equity and inclusion initiatives in the local art scene.

Choosing a walking tour helps us to reduce our carbon footprint and therefore any negative impact on the environment.

A walking tour better educates guests on the local art scene and its impact by taking them down decorated alleys that cannot accommodate a vehicle

Itinerary

South Street

Your guided walking tour starts on South Street – one of the most vibrant and eclectic neighborhoods of Philadelphia. From here, your tour guide will lead you through the surrounding neighborhoods, weaving through hidden alleys that are home to quaint homes and incredible public art.

Philadelphia Magic Gardens

Unlike anything you’ve seen or experienced before, visiting the Magic Gardens is to take a trip into Wonderland. This incredible larger-than-life 3D art installation is the life’s work of Isaiah Zagar – and a living piece where he still works regularly. Merging the profound with the ridiculous, the philosophical with the everyday, Zagar captures the imagination with his work – showing us how our trash can become our collective treasure. Once we arrive, you’ll have as much time as you want to explore the space. When your official Philadelphia art tour time is up, you’re welcome to stay for longer, or venture out onto South Street for a different type of colorful experience.
