Half Day Tour

Brandywine Valley is known for its scenic landscape and exceptional historic and cultural institutions. Once your local tour guide picks you up at your desired location in Philadelphia, you’ll soon trade in the clamor of the city for the wide-open spaces, slow-moving rivers, and native wildlife of this southeastern Pennsylvania region.

Your private tour includes admission to Longwood Gardens, where you’ll be treated to over 1,000 acres of gorgeously manicured gardens, meadows, woodlands, musical fountains, and more. You’ll have plenty of time to stroll the grounds and seek out the best photo ops as your tour guide leads you to popular attractions and hidden gems. Explore a mysterious grotto, delight in the dazzling seasonal displays inside the main conservatory, and venture high above the ground on the Forest Walk.

Full Day Tour

A full-day private Philadelphia tour (up to 8 hours) to the Brandywine Valley will allow you to enjoy plenty of time at Longwood Gardens, with optional stops tailored to your group’s interests.

Just across the Pennsylvania-Delaware border, Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library and Nemours Estate are equally breathtaking, housing much of the area’s history, stunning mansions, Americana art, and unmatched landscaping with interest year-round. We’ll be happy to arrange admission in advance to either of these awe-inspiring estates for your private driving tour!

We would also be happy to arrange admission to the Brandywine Museum of Art – one for the art lovers – while history and architecture fans might want to opt for Rockwood Museum and Park.

Part of your excursion can also include a wine tour and tasting, given Pennsylvania’s numerous excellent wineries. In addition to these attractions, your guide will be happy to take you around Brandywine Battlefield Park for a tour of the site of the Battle of Brandywine fought during the American Revolution.

Along the way, your guide will have plenty of recommendations for where to eat and shop before your drive back to the city of Philadelphia.
